About Me

Biography

Born and raised in Detroit, I grew up in a household where hard work and perseverance were the cornerstones of daily life. My mother, dedicated to social services, and my father, a real estate agent, instilled in me a strong sense of community and the importance of helping others. Throughout my childhood, I balanced academics with a love for basketball, music, and anything with wheels. From playing the trombone and guitar to shooting hoops, I found joy in creativity and competition. Today, I still indulge in playing the piano and basketball, and enjoy photography, fishing, and working on my 1985 Cadillac DeVille.

After completing an Associate of Applied Science in Computers and Electronics Engineering Technology from ITT Tech, I continued my studies at Wright State University, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Earth Sciences. My tech career took off in 2007 when I joined Convergys, working with OnStar’s support team. Over the years, I’ve worked in various roles, including store support analyst at Ascena through Brooksource, where I built a strong foundation in tech operations. I later transitioned to JP Morgan Chase, advancing to Software Developer within the Auto Loans Origination Team, thanks to a Java Developer Bootcamp sponsored by Chase.

Post-COVID, I relocated back to Michigan and joined ABC Fitness as a Software Developer. Along the way, I received a Udacity Grow with Google Scholarship and earned an AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification, which I am now preparing to renew. In addition to my career in tech, I currently teach Intro to Computers to senior citizens in Royal Oak Township, helping bridge the digital divide and empowering others with technology.

With a love for technology, cars, and creativity, I’m always seeking new ways to innovate and expand my skill set.
